We began our Pilot Registration and Surveys at Pugu-Kinyamwezi dumpsite. We started off with discussions around the importance of registering through a digital platform and how data can greatly help this sector. Additionally we received input and contributions from the waste pickers and their leaders around our program’s objectives to allow for improvement and modification to best suit the target groups needs. Our registrations are taking place all over Tanzania including; DSM, Iringa, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Ruvuma, Tabora, Dodoma, Mbeya and Tanga, including Zanzibar (Unguja and Pemba).
