On the 2nd of November 2022, we launched the first ever Global Waste Pickers Day Program for Tanzania. Our theme of this program is Recognise, Formalise and Value Waste Pickers and Workers. Our program has been designed alongside Nipe Fagio and is all about Waste Pickers. 5 events/activities: 1. Launch 2. Registration and Surveys around Tanzania 3. Community Service Day 4. Final Event Day-Global Waste Pickers Day Celebration and 5. Stakeholders Forum. By providing education and community awareness, research and development and recognition to these groups, our program objectives can be achieved.
